About Ternate Island Tea Co.

Ternate, an island nestled in the Indonesian archipelago of Maluku, is known as one of the Spice Islands. The Spice Islands acquired their name because of their minerally-rich soils which produce an abundance of valuable herbs and spices, and the beautiful land of Ternate was highly coveted during the days of the spice trade.
